Past Rides

Central Victoria Ride, 26th October 2003

Considering the weather forecast for the weekend there was a good turnout of bikes at Laverton when Kim and I arrived! We honestly expected Steve and Ron to be the only ones again!! There were 9 bikes and 11 people. Steve, Ian, Ron, Tony, Lindsay with pillion Kerrie, pillion Debi-C with rider David, Neville, Kim and myself.

Left Maccas on time and rode through Werribee. This was the only place we copped some showers. Must have something to do with the fact that the Hartshornes live in Werribee, seeing as two are overseas and one interstate this weekend!

Our first stop was at Trentham for a smoke and a toilet stop then onto Daylesford for coffee. We had to warm up somehow. From there we went to Clunes for lunch at the bakery. They had a table reserved for us and gave us table service to boot! Lunch was well received by all. We then had a walk up the street and bought a few items from sidewalk stalls. We gave our club a bad name as nearly all of us bought soap by the handful! Even Neville bought some and I know it’s wasn’t for his bike!

We went from there through Creswick over the freeway, through Gordon and close to Ballan where we split up into two groups. One heading towards Geelong and the other to Bacchus Marsh etc home.

Was a really good day enjoyed by all. Thanks to Steve for a great ride down some very scenic back roads!

PS: If we got any names of the towns wrong, bad luck!!!!!!
